 The idea came from the realization that a lot of comic books end up stacked on our shelves and home libraries without ever being used again or thrown away after the first read.

Kami-kiri-mushi which literaly means paper-cutting-insect was created as another way to mitigate paper waste. It took its name from the Japanese longhorn beetles that love to bite into trees, leaves and even paper If they have the chance. We thought that this was very fitting since with this online comic book library we are also trying to cut back on paper consumtion.
